It incorporates a reward system designed to incentivize environmentally responsible actions, thereby aiming to facilitate the reduction of CO2 emissions through both ethical motivation and financial incentives.

Kora enhances user understanding of how daily decisions influence sustainability metrics, enabling more informed choices. The app offers features to compare personal progress against self-set carbon reduction goals, as well as social comparisons with friends and collective initiatives at regional or national levels. Users are encouraged to share the platform's mission to promote collective climate action.

Integration with the native Health app allows Kora to access step counts and walking distances, providing additional data to inform environmental impact assessments.

Kora’s rewards system operates on a points-based mechanism, where users accumulate Kora points through sustainable behaviors. These points can be redeemed in the app’s marketplace for various prizes. Availability of rewards is limited and items are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Rewards are supplied directly by Kora and its partners or sponsors; Apple is not associated with these rewards. Regarding premium membership, users can subscribe to the Offset program through in-app purchases, choosing from three monthly offset options—Sprout, Tree, and Forest. The subscription price varies by country and is displayed within the app. Payments are processed via iTunes Account at the time of purchase, with subscriptions set to automatically renew unless canceled prior to renewal. Users can disable auto-renewal at any time in their iTunes Account Settings; however, refunds are not available during an active subscription period. Upon cancellation, access to offset features remains active until the current billing cycle concludes.
